Malga Fiara is located in a predominantly wooded area, in which the large pastures that characterize many other structures on the plateau are instead replaced by small clearings within the spruce and larch forest, in which there are also numerous outcropping rocks, dangerous sinkholes and in some cases even real caves. The flock of sheep hosted here also benefits from the grazing of the adjacent Malga Bosco Secco, as it is merged. Given its historical past, it is not uncommon to find what remains of trenches and war artefacts in the pasture of the mountain hut.
