The Grunewald Church was built on a bend in Bismarckallee between 1902 and 1904 and was badly damaged in the Second World War. The Grunewald villa colony is not a historically grown district. It does not have an old village green with a village church around which village life developed. However, the Grunewald Church gives the impression of being the center of a village.
