Thorong Phedi is located at the base of the climb that leads to High Camp and subsequently to Thorong La. A large guesthouse can be found in Thorong Phedi. It is located at 4,500 meters above sea level and is a perfect place to sleep before tackling the climb of the pass.

An impressive settlement enclosed by the great walls of an impressive canyon!

Late in the season, the sun stays on the village here until 3pm, after this, it's cold!

A small handful of places to stay all of similar standard and offering the same menus.

We stayed at The Windhorse Guest House where Rooms had an attached toilet.

Fires are lit about 4 pm.

Menus are limited after mid Nov when many of the bakers and chefs return to their home villages, and only skeleton staff are left.

Rooms free when you eat at the hotel.

Dhal Bhat Rs740/£4.90 - Sharing isn't allowed.

Porridge Rs400/£2.70

Milk Coffee Rs190/£1.30

Bakery open here in peak season.

Water freezes during the night so be prepared for the morning
