The pilgrimage church of Vilgertshofen is definitely worth a visit. Especially when there is a silent procession.

The pilgrimage church "To the painful mother god" of Vilgertshofen belongs to the most important church constructions in the whole Lechrain. Even the predecessor churches were the target of Marian and Ablasswallfahrten. A miracle cure made the Vilgertshof pilgrimage so flourish in 1674 that soon a new, larger church was needed. On behalf of the Wessobrunn Monastery, master builder Johann Schmuzer built a church in the shape of a cross-shaped central system from 1686 to 1692.
