To the east of Berpathianá, a paradisiacal green valley stretches for about 2.5 km. Here flows the stream, which in turn flows about 4 km below Kambos at the Πλατανάκια (plane trees) beach. The vegetation is lush and diverse: plane trees, chestnuts, strawberry trees, kermes and holm oaks, heather and much more. You should consider carefully whether you visit the valley as part of the circular tour komoot.de/tour/991658026, because apart from sporting ambition there are few reasons to climb 400 meters in altitude through a burnt wasteland on a wide gravel road and then down another 200 before finally reaching the valley. Better to enjoy it once on the high way and then downhill again from a new perspective.

The highlight was originally marked incorrectly. The idyllic section through the green valley of the Platanakia stream begins about 1 km south of the ascent at 700m. This is actually an unnecessary ordeal: 400 meters of ascent on a wide gravel road, mostly exposed to the south, which leads through a treeless wasteland to the "wind farm" above Melissia, and then another 200 m descent into the green valley.
