The Otago region is located on the South Island. The east coast between Oamaru and Dunedin is particularly worth a stop. Our first encounter with wild seals and penguins made the dramatic coastal landscape a special place for us.

The rugged coast of Otago offers some fantastic opportunities for wildlife watching and curious rock formations. But the scenically beautiful Otago Peninsula is also a real highlight.
