Tips
The old center of Rijswijk is a pearl in the region, with cozy restaurants, nice shops and a lively market. In the 1960s, Rijswijk was also under the spell of modernization. There were plans to demolish the entire old center around the Oude Kerk. Fortunately, this changed in 1974 and the old buildings have been preserved. Since 2005 Oud Rijswijk has been upgraded through the historicization of the disappeared historic facades.
