The parish church of St. Laurentius is located on Kölner Straße in the Porz-Ensen/Westhoven district. The Church of St. Laurentius was built from 1894-1896 as a neo-Gothic stepped hall with a recessed choir and a 56m high square tower in the west according to plans by the architect Theodor Kremer. The new building from 1894/96 took over the function of the old Laurentiuskirche from the beginning of the 18th century, which increasingly fell into disrepair and was finally demolished in 1913/14.
