Road cycling

The surface of the trail along the Canal d'Hunigue is of very hard-packed granular rock, smaller than Champaign gravel, meaning it is very suitable for road cycling as well and in some cases, the pavement is much smoother than many roads. After Kembs the road turns into a very nice smooth asphalted surface all the way to Mulhouse.
