Foxton Locks are a series of no less than ten canal locks consisting of two "staircases" each of five locks, on the Leicester line of the Grand Union Canal.

Alongside the locks is the site of the Foxton Inclined Plane, built in 1900 to resolve the restrictions imposed by the lock flight.

Cycling

Foxton locks is the longest staircase flight of canal locks in Britain. The feet of engineering was completed in 1814 and allows canal boats to climb the 75-foot (23m) hill.

There is a museum here and you can take a boat trip up the locks (summer only).
