    Church ruin Conow
Adventurous flair comes in the small village of Conow, if you go out a little from the village and comes across the old field stone ruin. During the GDR era almost inaccessible, invites the historical place now interested visitors again.
Until the year 1440, another Conow existed as the present one. Through a territorial war between Brandenburg and Mecklenburg numerous settlements were abandoned in southern Mecklenburg, including Conow fell. However, a new village was rebuilt in the immediate vicinity of the old one. Today, the old church ruins, one of the best preserved in the region, bear witness to the desolation. The ruin dates back to the 14th century and, like many buildings of that time, was built from the building material that was present in masses: field stones. This was stacked inside a wooden bowl and fixed with chalk. With this construction, they built a 9 by 17 meter church (without a tower), which still defies nature today. Although large brick churches were already built at that time, people in rural areas still trusted in this ancient way of building. If only because the technique of brick burning was not known here. After the old village was destroyed, the inhabitants used the stones of the abandoned buildings for a long time as a quarry for the procurement of materials, so that many parts of the wall are no longer or only in remnants. In the GDR era, the church ruins almost fell into oblivion. In such an undisturbed way, nature was able to revive the area to a large extent. Only after the ruined church has been set free under overgrowing scrub by ABM, can it be visited again. Every year, it offers a picturesque setting for concerts, most of which take place in August.

A tip would be enough, novels via CopyTaste are boring, no one reads 😉
