The archpriest church of the Holy Trinity, commonly known as the Canovian temple, is the parish church of Possagno, in the province and diocese of Treviso; it is part of the vicariate of Asolo.
The building, in neoclassical style, was designed at the beginning of the nineteenth century by the famous architect Antonio Canova.
In a remote and elevated position with respect to the inhabited center, it rises at the foot of Col Draga at 342 meters above sea level.

Cycling

Native of Possagno, Antonio Canova decided to renovate the old parish church at the urging of his fellow villagers: on 11 July 1818 the first stone of what would become one of his greatest works was laid. (Canova, however, did not have time to see the completed Temple: he died eight years before the end of the works, in 1822).
