Mountain biking
Green lane begins easily enough but gathers interest as the surface deteriorates. Don't get sucked into the deep erosion gulleys and hit the numerous small drops with plenty of pace. Take your sunglasses off at the top though or you'll suddenly go blind when you enter the trees and line choice becomes rather more important. Great way to link Stanage to Shatton whilst Bamford Clough is still shut.

This segment has been resurfaced with tarmac on the steep sections above the golf course. The upper section of this highlight is a rough surface (deteriorated road/farm track) but would probably be ok for a road bike.
You'll want generous gearing for climbing this, or decent brakes for descending!
