Inaugurated on 07/17/1910. Created by Erich Kiemlen on behalf of the Cannstatter Beautification Association. After the unification of the cities of Cannstatt and Stuttgart, Juno, the Roman goddess of marriage, was to symbolically ensure that the now "married" cities lived together in peace and unity.

The Bad Cannstatt Citizens' Association has sponsored the fountain.
