Commissioned in 1972, this bridge made of steel beams and reinforced concrete gracefully spans the Odet. Its construction was decided during the explosion in automobile use which made crossing the river by ferry difficult. For example, 28,000 vehicles used the ferry in 1951, compared to 290,000 in 1971, at the dawn of construction.
