Built in 1892 as a public primary school, this was further established around 1907 as the Coornhert School for extended first year primary education. In 1924, the Jewish sports club Kadimah organized gymnastics classes at this school every Tuesday evening.
During World War II this building was used as a Jewish HBS-A with a five-year course. In October 1942 it also temporarily housed the administrative and financial departments of the Central Committee for Jewish Education.
The building has since been converted into apartments. In 2022 until March this year, the building was made more sustainable. Interior work will then be carried out.
