Good cycle path next to the old B101, which is sometimes a bit narrow on weekends (or when the overgrown weeds have not been cut). Remains of the B101 can still be seen in some places. I wonder why this wide part of the street hasn't remained. Because weeds only grow in this area in the summer months. In addition, from the direction of Berlin there is a dead end sign at the level of the forest path to the center of town that is confusing and (for me) does not serve any purpose.
Otherwise a good way to get from Großbeeren towards Berlin.

Very good cycle path partly on the old B101 over the (rapeseed) fields with a good view of the high-rise buildings of the thermometer settlement.
It consists of one third of easy-to-drive gravel and two thirds of the old asphalt from the B101. There is correspondingly little rolling resistance here (much less than in most "real" cycle paths) and it also has the corresponding width (which is also necessary here). Since the center marking has also been retained, the directional separation also works quite well.
Unfortunately, it is not shown as a cycle path on the Komoot map, as it is not a mixed footpath and cycle path, but is signposted with "No passage" with an additional sign saying "Bicycle free". However, cycling is also prohibited on the neighboring B101. If anyone knows why this was done, I would be happy to enlighten you.
