From the Fiaiano pine forest you can see the coast overlooking the Aragonese Castle. Here there is a small 17th century church, Sant'Anna. Going up from Fiaiano you reach, through a steep road full of hairpin bends, but of great beauty for the panorama that can be seen from there, on Monte Rotaro, in the Cretaio area, where the church of the Santissimo Crocifisso al Cretaio is, a chapel built by the noble islander Francesco Menga in 1731, destroyed in the earthquake of 1883 and rebuilt again. It is a simple building, whose charm is largely given by the isolation of the place. From Fiaiano you arrive at the Buceto spring, then you go towards Piedimonte and Barano.
