Hiking

Another 20 to 30 minutes walk will take you to a slightly higher viewpoint and this is also on the way to basecamp.

MBC (Mardi Base Camp) is approximately 45 minutes further on from this point and while not necessarily offering the same amazing views does take you as close as you are going to get to the summits of both Mardi Himal and Machhapuchhre without specialised winter gear.

There is 1 single hut offering hot drinks only at this view point and nothing at MBC.

Hiking

The weather here changes quickly so it is wise to come here early in the morning. If you have made till the higher view point, the hike till base camp is not that difficult and can take anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half.
