The Low Camp is located at about 3000 meters above sea level. From this camp you have an impressive view of the sacred mountain Machapuchare. There are several guest houses where you can spend the night and dine in the heat of a wood stove.

Passing a handful of trek specific settlements and climbing innumerable well placed steps up through the jungle you will come to Low Camp.

This was our first overnight destination.

3 hours from Sidhing and nestled amongst the trees from here you will get your first decent views of Fishtail Mountain (Machhapuchhre).

A handful of options with various prices from Rs800/£5.30 per room to Rs1200/£8.00 per room.

We stayed at Low Camp Guest House at the top of the village. A very basic accommodation, one of the older buildings offering beds/blankets and a heated dining room.

Hot Chocolate Rs200/£1.30pp
Pancake Rs300/£2.00pp

There is no WiFi and an intermittent hot shower.
Charging point in room and dining room.
No shop or toilet roll.
A western toilet is available here.

An alternative option is Grace's Guest House - you can guarantee a hot shower here for Rs300/£2.00 unlimited and even get a Nutella Crepe!
