Hiking
Built in 1551, this fortified gate is one of four entrances to the bastioned wall that surrounded the city. It is built of humped limestone ashlars and had a portcullis, as can be seen from the grooves that are still visible, nailed gates and, on the outside, a drawbridge leading to a bridge over a wide moat. It leads to the former parade ground in the middle of the military quarters, which stretched across the former glacis in the 18th century.
