Where two water mills used to operate on the Ruisseau Hideux, you can now stay in the 17th century mill house in a princely, but also expensive, way.
Historical interpretation: At this location, in the Age of Enlightenment, two water mills used to run: one ground grain, the other bark (for the tanneries). The people called them, in Walloon, Li deux moulins. which was then transformed into l'hideux moulin and ultimately into Moulin Hideux.
In 1945 only one mill remained, which two years later was converted into a hotel - restaurant: "Auberge du Moulin Hideux". The entire interior was removed. In 1960 it was included in the prestigious series "Relais et Château", the first outside France.
Before the renovation the building was small and not very attractive. Time and new insights from owners have ultimately created this pearl on the Ruisseau Hideux.
A relaxing location to reflect on.
