A magnificent vantage point above the St. Wolfgang market."Around 1820, the well-known Biedermeier landscape painters discovered the Salzkammergut and with it Lake Wolfgang. One of their best-known representatives was Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller, who left behind some beautiful pictures of this area. St. Wolfgang and the lake were particularly popular with the painted from the side of Calvary, which is why this path was soon called the painter's trail." Source: Wolfgangsee TourismThis place is one of many Gschmå-Platzln at Lake Wolfgang. They are located in particularly beautiful places and always offer a wonderful view. "Gschmå" means cozy and is now often equated with "hygge".Blog entry: seesterne.at/seesterne-blog/blog/detail/gschmaa-platzln-am-wolfgangseeWolfgangsee tourism: wolfgangsee.salzkammergut.at/erlebnisse/sommer/wandern/gschmaa-platzln.html
