The Mittelalpe is on the Höhenweg between the Söllereckbahn and Riezlern. The Mittelalpe is managed by the Hilbrand family. The landlord Gerhard is a trained dairyman and vouches for excellent mountain cheese. Every Wednesday there are guided tours to the Mittelalpe. This is interesting and exciting, as Gerhard shows how real mountain cheese is made and introduces you to alpine farming. The Mittelalpe is one of 9 alpine pastures in the Kleinwalsertal.
