The Mittelalpe is on the Höhenweg between the Söllereckbahn and Riezlern. The Mittelalpe is managed by the Hilbrand family. The landlord Gerhard is a trained dairyman and vouches for excellent mountain cheese. Every Wednesday there are guided tours to the Mittelalpe.
