This memorial cross from 1854 is located on the road to the Löbauer Berg. It was erected in memory of the woodworker from Ebersdorf, Johann Gottfried Engwicht, who had an accident here on January 18, 1854. He was crushed by his loading boom.

There are still many historical and mystical things to be found around and on the Löbauer Berg. Stone sea, basalt quarry, money cellar... Have fun searching. Good supply in the mountain inn "Honigbrunnen" and in the "Turmgaststätte" on the summit, where the cast-iron observation tower is also located.
