With a total area of 145 hectares, the Tauernalm is one of the largest alpine pastures in the municipality of Prettau.
The pastures extend between 1,700 and 2,633 meters above sea level, with the main buildings at 2,018 meters. Of the approximately 4 hectares of mountain meadows known as "Leite and Guastrett," approximately 3 hectares are currently being mown.
