Originally the artist's home; he discovered the property for himself when he saw a fig tree protruding from an underground lava bubble while walking through a lava field. He then decided to buy the property, but the owners gave him the piece of land, which they considered worthless.

Here, Manrique brought nature and art into harmony in an impressive way by building his house and integrating the five lava bubbles.

His works can be found practically all over the island, which he has had a significant influence on.

For me, the house is as extravagant as Salvador Dalí's villa in Cadaqués. The rooms are very uniquely decorated and are very much oriented to the conditions of the floor (lava rock) (which was the basic architectural design of Manrique). A tour is definitely worth it, as are the exhibitions - but they change.
