Designed by architect Joseph Mitchell, this former railway viaduct opened in 1865, carrying the now-closed Aberfeldy line over the river Tay. In 1994 it was gifted to the local community and in 2000/2001 reopened after many years of disrepair as a community-owned road bridge, having cost around £400,000 to restore.

Community owned ex railway bridge built in 1865 to carry trains on the Ballinluig to Aberfeldy. In 1964 the line was closed and bridge no longer needed, It was acquired by the Kinnard estate and saved from being closed completely.

Don't know why, but it seems strange to meet a car/van on this bridge which is open to private vehicles (most of the time). Anyway, it's kind of demanded that you ride onto the bridge if only to take a photo before, if necessary, turning around. An interesting waypoint.
