A-Tower is the name for a radio tower, such as those built in the late 1950s in all districts of the GDR for the SED radio network. The construction and types of A-towers vary. The height of the rectangular A-towers is a maximum of 20 meters plus an antenna support up to 10 meters high. The height of the prestressed concrete towers is up to 60 meters. Most of the rectangular towers were painted green. Some were also clad in wood.
