This trail is a portion of the proposed European Continental Divide Trail (ECDT, Europäischer Wasserscheideweg) along the North Sea - Baltic Sea Continental Divide (Wasserscheide). To the southwest of the Ridgeline of the Riesengebirge, water drains to the North Sea. To the northeast, water drains to the Baltic Sea. The trail continues to the east along the ridge towards Czarna Kopa, to the west along the plateau towards Lucni Bouda.
