Running

The wooden corn windmill was founded in 1789 by Baptist Van Looy. The old mill did not survive the violence of the First World War. The successor of this mill, the current windmill, was transferred from Voortkapel to Bouwel in 1925. It replaces the old mill that was destroyed by fire in 1914. The mill remained in operation until 1940 and was restored in 1973. This beautiful windmill has been listed as a monument since 1943.
