Hans-Wödl Hut

Very nicely situated hut on Hüttensee. Since most hikers and tourists only circumnavigate the Styrian Lake Constance or come as far as the waterfall, the hut is not overcrowded.

The Hans-Wödl-Hütte is idyllically situated on the small Hüttensee, very close to the Styrian Bodensee in the Schladminger Tauern. This is only about an hour's walk away. The Obersee can also be reached from here. This magnificent three-lake hike is ideal for a day trip. But also as a starting point for high alpine tours, such as on the Hochwildstelle (2,747 m) or the mountain trail to Planai (1,846 m), the hut is very well suited.

The Hans-Wödl-Hütte is a beautifully situated old hut. It is 1533m above sea level and was built in 1897. It is named after a mountaineer who opened up the Schladminger Tauern.
