Hiking

The Simmersberg lies above the community of Schnett, and is the main summit of a ridge, which forms an interface between the Thuringian Forest and Thuringian Slate Mountains. Up here, a wonderful distant view spoils the eye, right into the Franconia near Coburg. If the eye is not enough, you can use the installed binoculars. On the mountain there is one, the geographical location, most beautiful youth hostels in Thuringia.
