The regional museum has been housed in the only preserved wing of the Přemyslid Castle and in the adjacent buildings since 1902. In the 1990s, its rooms, including the Gothic Knights' Hall, were renovated. The new exhibitions were awarded as European Museum of the Year 1996. In addition to regional history and cultural tradition, local nature is presented here, including the exhibition Gold in the Region and Live Fish Fishing.
