Cycling

A hearing of witnesses in 1465 proves the existence of two places of worship in theleutebach district of the parish association of Kirchehrenbach for the 14th century, with the Moritzkirche appearing as the original ecclesiastical centre. Your spiritual care by the responsible pastor differs only slightly from that for a parish church.

In the course of the 16th century, the importance of the St. Moritz church declined. The majority of services are now celebrated in St. Jakob zuleutebach, where a larger church was apparently built in 1502.

Road cycling

On August 8, 1886, the current Jakobuskirche, built in the neo-Gothic style by Friedrich Kratzen from Forchheim, was consecrated. The church tower with its four watch towers, which now became the entrance, was taken over from the old Gothic fortified church, which had become too small and for which it once housed the choir room. The Gothic sacrament niche still bears witness to this today.
