The sacred area of Rabí Castle

Brief History of the Church

The Castle Church of the Holy Trinity was probably founded in the 14th century, but it was consecrated only in 1498 (after its construction was completed by Půta Švihovský from Rýzmberk).

The castle church essentially retained its late Gothic form, but its appearance was changed in the following centuries (a sacristy was added in the 17th century, an antechamber and a sanctuary tower were added in the 18th century). Larger renovations affected the interior, the appearance of which was supplemented and changed several times, so that in the 20th century the interiors reflected almost all artistic styles, from Gothic to Art Nouveau, in their interiors.
