Kotychi-Strofylia National Park is one of Greece's most important wetlands and home to the country's largest pine forest. Spanning approximately 143,000 hectares, it offers a mosaic of lagoons, sand dunes, marshes, and dense forests right on the Ionian Sea.
Of particular note are the Strofylia Forest, a unique coastal forest known especially for its distinctive umbrella pines (Pinus pinea), and the Kotychi Lagoon, the largest lagoon in the Peloponnese and a critical habitat for migratory birds.
