The Great Dieck River is a left tributary of the Great Aue, which in turn is a left tributary of the Weser. It extends over a length of about 37.6 km and is fed by the Wiehen Hills and the lowlands of the western district of Minden-Lübbecke in northern North Rhine-Westphalia. The southeast slope of the Stemweder Hill also contributes to the water supply.
