Hiking
Cargèse is known for its two churches opposite each other, a Greek Orthodox and a Roman Catholic, both located on a hill overlooking the Bay of Sagone. The Greek church was built between 1852 and 1870 and is a living symbol of tradition in the town. Services and ceremonies almost entirely follow the rites of Athens and Constantinople. The Roman Catholic church, L'Assomption, was built starting in 1825.
