The tour, especially with the alternative ascent to the tower, is demanding and sweaty and definitely only suitable for sure-footed, enduring runners. In my opinion, the climbing passages are not for children under the age of 7-10. You have to rely on the mentioned cairns and keep an eye out for them from time to time. Overall, the route is relatively well marked and should definitely be walked with sturdy shoes and sufficient drinking water. The hike itself is my absolute favorite hiking highlight on this wonderful island. The view compensates for all hardships.
