  • Triton is a sea deity from Greek mythology. The sculptor Carl Burger created the Aachen Triton Fountain between 1906 and 1910. It adorned the elliptical square in front of the newly built Aachen main station. In order not to obstruct the increasing traffic on the Alléenring, it was dismantled and moved to the current location on Kaiser-Friedrich-Allée as early as 1923.
