The mountain trail is one of the trails in the Glencoe Lochan's impressive North American woodland. With stunning views to the surrounding mountains it is a good place to take in Glencoe without the going getting too tough.

You'd expect something called 'the Mountain Trail' to be rather strenuous by the standards of Glen Coe. However, while there is a little bit of uphill, the trail is probably named for the views of the surrounding mountains that you get as the path skirts the slopes of Stac a'Chlamhain.

The Mountain Trail can be combined with the Lochan Trail and the Woodland Trail to make a satisfying circuit of Glencoe Lochan's impressive North American woodland.

If you run this section, you can legitimately call yourself a "mountain trail runner". The great news is that this "Mountain Trail" features only a small amount of uphill, the trail named for the views of the surrounding mountains that you get along the path.
