At the end of the 16th century the castle was rebuilt in Renaissance style. Master builder Agostino Galli at that time raised the palace in Bischofteinitz for John the Younger of Lobkowicz, leveled the terrain in the courtyard and created a new palace building, at the same time as the Lobkowicz Palace in front of Prague Castle (later Salm Palace and today's Schwarzenberg Palace). At the beginning of the 17th century, a south wing with inner courtyard arcades was added. The castle is open until 4 p.m. every day.
