Its shape is rectangular, it is characterized by an elegant portico and dominated by two columns with the statue of the lion of San Marco.
You can admire the neoclassical façade of the Church of San Giovanni Battista, the loggia of the Municipality and the houses of the Remondini family, founders of one of the largest publishing companies of the 1700s.

Formerly "Piazza dei Signori", it is the flagship for Sunday strolls. It was created by filling in the moat that surrounded the second ring of walls of Bassano and was initially called Piazza San Giovanni, after the name of the church that was built there in 1308. From 1867 onwards it was consecrated to Vittorio Emanuele II, King of Italy; during the Second World War it was called Piazza del Popolo, then Piazza Libertà.
