Schweinberg lies at an altitude of 350m above sea level. Other spellings of Schweinberg throughout history were: Svineburc, Sweineburch, Sweineburg, Schwanberg and finally Schweinberg.

Schweinberg is a district of Hardheim in the Neckar-Odenwald district.
The place has almost 700 inhabitants and was incorporated into Hardheim in 1971.
The place was first mentioned at the end of the 11th century under the name Swenenburg.
It is assumed that over the course of time the name Schwanenberg and finally Schweinberg arose from this. Bizarre... the conclusions drawn from swans to pigs.
The townscape of Schweinberg is determined by Schweinberg Castle and the parish church of St. Andreas.
If you drive from Hardheim on the B 27 in the direction of Würzburg, you will immediately notice the keep above the town.
The Church of St. Andrew was built in 1729. The furnishings are partly from the 15th century. In front of the church is the church square with a historic fountain and opposite the town hall and the fire brigade.
