Run by the Shetland Amenity Trust, Sumburgh Head lighthouse and the surrounding nature reserve at the southerly tip of Shetland is a great place to visit. Watch puffins and other sea birds and keep an eye out for whales of the coast.
The visitor centre has lots of information about the lighthouse and surrounding area. Paid entry but well worth it.
Katja's cafe serves drinks, cakes and light lunches. It's open 10:00 - 17:00 Thursday to Monday.
