The Catholic chapel is dedicated to the Archangel St. Michael. The entrance gate bears the year of the year of construction, namely 1718. The chapel was of great importance for the surrounding villages in earlier times. The pastor of Thulba held services there three times a year. In addition, the residents of the neighboring villages went on pilgrimages to the "Kirchle". But the Michael's Chapel is still very important today.

In 2017, the residents of Frankenbrunn worked together to restore the complex around the chapel and the hermit's house with the generous support of the market town of Oberthulba on the occasion of the 300th anniversary in 2018.
