Skara Brae is Europes most complete Neolithic village. The site consists of 10 clustered houses made of flagstones in earthern dams that support the walls. The houses had stone hearths, beds and cupboards. They even had a simple sewer system with "toilets" and drains in each house which carried waste into the ocean. The village was occupied from roughly 3180 BC to 2500 BC.
