Due to the large water depth and the possibility to combine waves and currents, it was possible to investigate the influence of currents and wave forces on the pier walls of the Storm Surge Barrier in the Wave Basin. The stability of block dams, as applied for the Brouwersdam, was also investigated in the Golfbak.

Nice test setup that is also easily recognizable. When looking back at the photo, I am not 100% sure whether it was indeed for a Turkish port.
