Eselbank (donkey bank) is a tiny outlying settlement of the Wupperthal Moravian mission.
The population of this quaint little village is about 150. The main source of income is from Rooibos tea cultivation. There is a very impressive waterfall about 1 km northeast of town, with some stunning viewpoints, and an amazing rock arch on the southern side. Accommodation is available at Idas Paradise Guesthouse
